UPAC met with Quebec Liberal leader Charles Milliard

By The Canadian Press

UPAC, Quebec’s anti-corruption unit, met with Quebec Liberal leader Charles Milliard as part of its investigation into last year’s Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) leadership race.

The meeting took place a few weeks ago, Milliard revealed on Wednesday morning.

The Liberal leader declined to disclose details of the meeting.

UPAC launched this investigation last December following numerous media reports regarding allegations of illegal fundraising practices.

These allegations targeted the campaign team of candidate Pablo Rodriguez, who was elected leader in June 2025, defeating Milliard.

Faced with mounting setbacks, Rodriguez was forced to resign in December, paving the way for Milliard’s election as leader last February.
