IN PHOTOS: Canadiens fans pack La Cage to watch pivotal Game 5 against Buffalo

“I’m feeling so good right now,” said one Montreal Canadiens fan after Montreal’s 6-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres in Game 5, giving the Canadiens a 3-2 series lead. Adriana Gentile reports.

Fans packed La Cage in downtown Montreal on Thursday night to watch the Canadiens’ 6-3 Game 5 win over the Buffalo Sabres, erupting in celebration as Montreal scored four unanswered goals to take a 3-2 series lead.

Supporters cheered loudly following goals from Nick Suzuki, Jake Evans and Ivan Demidov, while many waved Canadiens jerseys and chanted “Go Habs Go” as the final seconds ticked down.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant reflected growing excitement across the city as the Canadiens moved within one win of advancing to the Eastern Conference Final.
