49-year-old man stabbed in Montreal’s RDP–Pointes-aux-Trembles

A 49-year-old man was found unconscious with stab wounds to his upper and lower body in Montreal’s Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough on Monday night.

Montreal police (SPVM) say they received a 911 call at around 9:15 p.m. regarding the incident on Élie-Beauregard Avenue near Perras Blvd.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located the victim, who was later transported to hospital. Police say his life is not considered to be in danger.

Police say the suspects fled before officers arrived. No arrests have been made.

The canine unit was called in to assist with the investigation.

A security perimeter has been established as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

The investigation remains ongoing.
