SPVM seek public’s help to identify suspect vehicle in St-Laurent attempted murder investigation

Montreal police (SPVM) are seeking the public’s help with an investigation into an attempted murder involving a firearm on April 29, in the Saint-Laurent borough.

A 20-year-old man had been shot in the lower body, but survived his injuries.

According to investigators, the incident began around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Côte-Vertu Boulevard and Bégin Street, where a dark-coloured vehicle allegedly pursued another car westbound. The chased vehicle reportedly committed several traffic violations before stopping in a parking lot of a Shell gas station on Côte-Vertu Boulevard.

Police say the suspect vehicle then entered the parking lot, where a gunshot was fired. The victim attempted to flee on foot but was pursued, and a second shot was discharged shortly after, causing the victim to collapse. The suspect vehicle fled eastbound following the attack.

Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a black or dark blue Honda CR-V from model years 2015 to 2019. It may have visible damage, including possible projectile impacts and collision marks.
