Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime loses marathon Wimbledon quarter-final to Novak Djokovic

An optimistic run from Canada’s top men’s tennis talent has come to an end.
Novak Djokovic took down Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime in five sets (7-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6) at the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Tuesday.
The deciding set came down to the tiebreak, in which Djokovic won 10-4.
Nothing came easy for either party. Heading into the fifth set, they only broke each other’s serve a combined four times, and Auger-Aliassime’s serve was broken for the first time in the third set — only the second time he’s lost a service game this tournament.
But Djokovic took control in the tiebreak, taking down the Wimbledon No. 3 seed who’s 14 years his junior.
It was the longest match of the tournament so far, coming it at five hours, 15 minutes.
With the win, the No. 7-seeded Djokovic is off to the Wimbledon semifinals for the 15th time in his decorated career, where he’ll face world No. 1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner.
