New name, logo for Coalition Avenir Québec features Fréchette

The CAQ is making a change, bringing in a new name and logo.
The party formally known as Coalition Avenir Québec is now officially known as Équipe Christine Fréchette – Coalition Avenir Quebec.
The party is listed as such on the Élections Québec website.
The party’s official website no longer displays the Coalition Avenir Québec name, showing only Fréchette’s and its logo.
Recent videos by candidates also have them saying they are on Équipe Christine Fréchette.
CAQ Leader and Quebec Premier Fréchette says the name change is “normal.”
“My arrival corresponds to a change in approach, change in style, change in leadership,” she told journalists at a news conference in Longueuil. “And I think it’s normal to change the name. The name was associated with François Legault, so now it’s linked to my name.”
Under her predecessor, who resigned in January after tanking in the polls, the party was named Coalition avenir Québec – Équipe François Legault.
Université du Quebec à Montréal political science professor Danielle Pilette says Fréchette wants to show she has her party under control three months after becoming premier.
