Fréchette: housing crisis is resolved in several regions

By Patrice Bergeron, The Canadian Press

The housing crisis is resolved, at least in several regions.

That is what CAQ leader Christine Fréchette argued on Saturday, defending her government’s record on housing construction.

Québec solidaire (QS) spokesperson Ruba Ghazal responded by saying that you had to be out of touch to claim that the housing crisis is over.

In a press conference held in a social housing complex in Drummondville on Saturday, Fréchette argued that the market is returning to a point of equilibrium in several regions, namely a 3 per cent vacancy rate.

Furthermore, several other regions are on track to achieve balance, she added, without specifying which ones.
