Police seize six vehicles in Dorval search linked to organized theft network

Quebec police (SQ) have seized six vehicles following a search in Dorval linked to a structured vehicle theft network operating in the province.

The SQ-led Integrated Investigation Team on the Export of Stolen Vehicles conducted the search Aug. 27 on Lépine Avenue.

Police say the network steals vehicles in Quebec and sends them overseas through exporters in the greater Montreal area.

The search targeted a commercial premises and a shipping container. Police seized a forklift, licence plates, documents and six vehicles from Quebec and Ontario as offence-related property.

The investigation remains ongoing and police say arrests could follow.
