Quebecers to change clocks back an hour on Sunday

A reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend. Saturday, Oct. 31 into Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 a.m. we’ll fall back one hour.

Two years ago, 90 per cent of Quebecers who participated in an online public consultation, launched by the CAQ government, said they were in favour of ditching the practice, but no legislation was introduced.

Five Canadian provinces and territories, including Alberta and Manitoba have made the decision to adopt permanent daylight time.

On March 14, 2027, Quebecers will spring forward one hour.
