Moisson Montréal reports successful snack campaign for school-aged children

By The Canadian Press

MONTREAL – The Moisson Montréal food bank says its most recent donation campaign, entitled “La Faim des vacances”, resulted in the distribution of nearly 187,700 snacks to thousands of school-aged children in need.

Running from July 17 to July 31, the campaign aimed to raise $60,000 to support dozens of organizations and food banks on the Island of Montreal, with the goal of distributing close to 110,000 snacks to over 3,600 children over ten days.

During the summer vacation period, a significant number of children find themselves without the food aid outside of the school network. Families therefore turn more often to the 300 or so accredited organizations served by Moisson Montréal.
