Montreal drivers can expect road closures and lane reductions, with work scheduled on Highways 25 and 30, as well as the Honoré-Mercier Bridge.
According to Quebec’s Transport Ministry, overnight work will continue to take place along Highway 25, including in the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, while Highway 30 will see lane closures throughout the weekend.
Highway 25 closures
Beginning at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, Highway 25 southbound will be closed between exit 5 — Route 138, Hochelaga Street, Sherbrooke Street — and the entrance from Île Charron. The closure will remain in place until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.

During the same period, the northbound side of Highway 25 will be closed between exit 90 — Highway 20 West, Route 132, La Prairie, USA, Varennes, P.-E.-Trudeau Airport — and the entrance from Sherbrooke Street East.
Also toward the South Shore, the access ramp from rue des Futailles will be closed nightly from Tuesday to Thursday, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following day.

During that same time frame, eastbound Highway 132 will be closed between Roland-Therrien Boulevard and Highway 20 (Jean-Lesage).
Additionally, De Boucherville Street northbound will be closed between the entrance ramps from Hochelaga and Sherbrooke Street East from Sunday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.
Highway 30 closures
On Highway 30, work to expand the joints of the overpass over Kimber Boulevard will require lane closures.
Starting at 11 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, one lane in each direction will be closed. These closures will remain in effect until 5 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Traffic will be diverted, with some lanes operating in the opposite direction of normal flow.
In addition, exit 73 — Chambly/Boul. Cousineau/Chemin de Chambly — on eastbound Highway 30 will be closed during this period.
Honoré-Mercier Bridge closures
Transport Quebec says the Honoré-Mercier Bridge will be completely closed toward the South Shore between 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 a.m. on Thursday to allow for the replacement of an overhead signage structure.
The reserved lane entrance from Airlie Street will also close at 11:30 p.m., while other entrances will close at least 30 minutes earlier.

Partial closures will follow starting Friday, Oct. 17, at 11 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 20, at 5 a.m. One lane will be available in each direction on the bridge. The work is part of ongoing repairs to steel components.
Congestion is expected during these periods, and Transport Quebec recommends planning extra travel time.

In case of adverse weather or operational constraints, closures may be delayed, cancelled or extended. Drivers are advised to consult Québec 511 before travelling.
The ministry thanks road users for their cooperation and reminds them to follow signage and obey all posted instructions for the safety of both workers and the public.
