Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating gunshots that targeted a business in the Côte-des-Neiges borough on Monday evening.

A 911 call came in at around 7:30 p.m. regarding bullet impacts on the window of a business on Édouard-Montpetit Blvd., near Côte-des-Neiges road.

Police say an altercation broke out between a group of young men before escalating; no cause has been identified yet.

Several suspects fled the scene. No victims or suspects were found upon arrival, police say.

No arrests have been made.

Police will interview witnesses to the altercation and will also examine any surveillance cameras that may have captured the events. The investigation is ongoing.
