The U.S. is currently dealing with thousands of cyclospora cases – an infectious parasite which causes severe gastrointestinal distress – including explosive diarrhea. One microbiologist says he doesn’t see a risk to Canada right now.

“If the city doesn’t have the money, get the money from Ottawa or Quebec,” said Mario Napolitano a member of the Saint-Leonard Citizens’ Committee – frustrated about the borough using sandbags to prevent future flooding. Gareth Madoc-Jones reports.

“An ER should not be a place where you wait for 20 hours,” said patient rights advocate Paul Brunet on ERs in Montreal and across Quebec being put under pressure, with some hospitals operating at more than double their capacity. Lola Kalder reports.
