Free holiday parking for downtown Montreal shoppers

To encourage holiday shoppers to head downtown, the city of Montreal is lifting parking fees.
Street parking will be free every evening weekday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends, as of Dec. 3 to Jan. 2 inclusively.
Montreal’s downtown core has been hit hard by the pandemic and this is just one more way the city says it’s trying to entice holiday shoppers to the area.
Other holiday events and happenings adding to the fun are the Great Christmas Market at the Quartier des spectacles and Montréal en Fêtes.
