19-year-old stabbed in a Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve park

By News Staff

A 19-year-old man is in hospital, stabbed Sunday night in a Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve park.

Montreal police called just before 11 p.m. about the incident at Parc Raymond-Préfontaine, near the intersection of Moreau and Hochelaga.

When officers arrived, they found the young man suffering from upper body injuries.

Authorities say they do not fear for the victim’s life and preliminary information suggests the teen was stabbed during a conflict between several individuals.

No arrests have been made as of yet.

This is the second time a young person was stabbed in the last few days. A 14-year-old was attacked outside a school in Anjou on Friday afternoon.
