Laval police (SPL) arrested three men following a nearly $8 million drug bust on Nov. 30.
Authorities say search warrants were executed at two locations along Leman Blvd., in the Duverany area, and one vehicle.
One of the buildings was a facility with Health Canada approval to grow cannabis, but was believed to be breaching permit parameters.
Upon searching the facilities and a vehicle, officers were able to seize the following:
- 2,271 cannabis plants (worth roughly $2,271,0000);
- 69.8 kg of cannabis resin (worth roughly $279,000);
- 1,314 dried cannabis plants (worth roughly $5,214,000);
- Roughly $500,000 worth of equipment.

The SPL says due to the size of both facilities it took almost 48 hours for several squads to carry out the investigation.
The three men, all between 38 and 53-years-old, have since been charged with production of cannabis.
The investigation was conducted as part of the ACCES Cannabis program, a concerted action implemented in the fall of 2018 by the Quebec government and coordinated by the Ministry of Public Security, aimed at intensifying the crackdown on the supply of illicit cannabis in order to decrease its accessibility on the Quebec market, particularly among youth.
