Snow coming to Montreal-area

More snow is on the way for Montreal and its surrounding areas.
On Thursday night, as a new weather front moves into Southern Quebec, Montreal is expected to see light snow begin in the evening and slowly intensify. By Friday morning, the city could see an accumulation of 10cm of the white stuff. Not enough to call it a winter storm, but enough to make Friday’s morning commute messy.
Strong winds are also expected to accompany the snowfall in some parts of Quebec and Ontario.
By Sunday, and continuing into Monday, another low is expected to move into the province with five to 10 cm of snow forecast.
Environment Canada is also calling for a potential snowstorm with upwards of 15 centimetres possible by next Wednesday through Thursday, but it’s still too early to predict exactly how much snow the city will get. The front is expected to affect Montreal, Outaouais, La Mauricie and the Eastern Townships.
On the plus side, temperatures will be above seasonal norms almost everywhere in Quebec for the next few days, with -1C in Montreal and -4C in Quebec City and the Eastern Townships, but a wind chill will still be present in the morning.
