Freezing rain likely for southern Quebec come Thursday night into Friday

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement – for freezing rain likely over southern Quebec Thursday evening and into Friday morning.
“Freezing rain is currently likely, but the forecast will be reassessed since the system’s track is still uncertain. The track will be a determining factor for precipitation types and amounts.Surfaces like highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. The morning commute could be impacted in urban areas.”
The weather statement in effect for: Châteauguay – La Prairie, Laval, Longueuil – Varennes, and the island of Montreal.
Thursday’s forecast bringing a mix of sun and clouds, with a high of plus 4, the evening seeing rain or snow listed for now and a low of -5. Snow on Friday and -3 degrees with clear skies and a low of -14.
Saturday, sunshine with temperatures of plus 1. Cloudy Sunday and a high of 4 degrees.
Possible rain showers or flurries Sunday night and Monday, with temperatures steady at plus 4 degrees.
