Man who allegedly harassed Liberal MNA Marwah Rizqy reoffends – remains in custody

The Montrealer who allegedly harassed and threatened Liberal MNA Marwah Rizqy during the last election in Quebec – is accused of having re-offended – and this time, the Crown is opposing his release.
Claude Delaney, 62, seemed to do everything to get closer to the elected officials during the last campaign, he even volunteered to be a driver.

He allegedly made threats against Rizqy and also allegedly called the police and the office of MNA Enrico Ciccone to announce his impending death.
Delaney was arrested and charged with harassment and released on bail pending trial.
But just last week, he reportedly re-offended – accused of having broken a condition not to communicate with Rizqy or her team.
He’s due back in court Wednesday.
