Two Mascouche homes destroyed by fire

Two homes in Mascouche, in the Lanaudiere region, were completely destroyed by a fire early Thursday morning.
The Mascouche Fire Department responded to a fire that broke out in a residence on rue de Bayonne, near rue de Brest.
The flames quickly spread to a neighbouring home, forcing the evacuation of the occupants of both houses.
Firefighters were eventually able to contain the blaze, but both homes are considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire is not known at the moment.
Firefighters did not find anything indicating that it might have been arson.
