151 bus resumed its regular route in Laval on Friday – seven months after daycare bus attack

By CityNews Staff

Société de Transport de Laval (STL) drivers resumed using the roundabout where, nearly seven months ago, Pierre Ny St-Amand allegedly drove his city bus into the Garderie Éducative Sainte-Rose – killing two young children and injuring six others.

The 151 bus line was due to resume service in June, but parents submitted a petition to the Laval City Council asking that regular service on the route be postponed until the Fall, because the trauma was still too fresh for them and their children.

The STL agreed to postpone until September. The drivers were temporarily ordered to make a detour to avoid passing the daycare.

St-Amand is due back in court on September 26. He remains detained at the Philippe-Pinel institute.
