Snow and freezing rain on the way for Montreal

It’s about to look a lot like winter once again.

After seeing the city’s first snowfall last week – Environment Canada issuing a special weather statement for the Montreal-area.

Snow and risk of freezing rain for Thursday.

About 5cms of snow expected in the morning.

Changing to light rain during the day as temperatures rise to zero.

Snow and freezing rain could make roads slippery and conditions could be difficult during morning rush hour, said the weather agency.

A chance of showers in the forecast for Friday and back to sunshine for the weekend.

New data shows the planet is well on it’s way to seeing it’s hottest year on record.

Last month was the hottest October – following the succession of monthly records that began in June.
