By News Staff

A cocktail of weather is expected Monday in Quebec, as rain changed to snow, causing power outages mainly in the Eastern Townships.

As of 8:30 a.m. Monday, just over 22,000 Hydro customers were without power across the province. More than 15,000 of those households are in the Townships, with the Memphrémagog area most affected.

Snow and rain downed power lines in the area. Hydro says power in the region should be restored by 11 a.m.
