Manhunt for Lévis man who skipped jail date
Posted February 9, 2024 8:40 am.
A Lévis man was released after appearing in court for crimes related to firearms – but he’s now wanted by police after failing to report to authorities on Feb. 2.
Jonathan Ferland, 37, was supposed to report to Quebec City jail as part of a court order. His failure to do so represents a violation of that order.
On July 18, Ferland appeared on charges of possession of firearms for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of prohibited firearms and violating court-ordered conditions.
He was released pending his next court appearance..
The police ask anyone who spots Ferland not to intervene, but to contact the 911 right away.
Any information that could further the search for Ferland can also be shared with the Sûreté du Québec’s criminal information line at 1-800-659-4264.
