By News Staff & The Canadian Press

Hydro-Québec reported that over 6,000 of its customers were without electricity on Monday morning due to the storm over the weekend that brought heavy rain and snow. But by early afternoon, that number climbed to over 30,000 in the dark – with the bulk in the Lanaudière region.

It dropped to 6,800 as of 3 p.m.

On Sunday, there were more than 121,000 customers without power at the height of outages.

On Monday afternoon, some of the other regions most affected by outages – were Capitale-Nationale, the Laurentians, and the Mauricie.
