Reported member of street gang killed outside gym in Laval, car torched in Montreal

A man is dead after being shot in a parking lot outside a gym in Laval early on Thursday morning.
The 29-year-old man was reportedly killed in his car parked near the service road of Highway 440 and Curé-Labelle Boulevard.
The victim was reportedly known to police and a member of a street gang.
The case was transferred to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) after a torched car was located on Camille Street about 10 kilometres away in the neighbourhood of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.
When police arrived on the scene, they located the man, who was unconscious. He was taken to hospital, where he was eventually pronounced dead.
A large security perimeter was set up on site and the investigation is still ongoing.
No arrests have been made so far.
