Montreal tourist assaulted in Dublin dies in hospital

A 41-year-old Montreal tourist has died in Dublin, Ireland after being assaulted there nine days ago.

According to RTÉ news, a public national news service in Ireland, Neno Dolmajian, a Montreal citizen, was attacked by two men on June 23.

He sustained serious injuries while on Dublin’s O’Connell Street and was taken to the Mater Hospital, where he passed away on Tuesday.

Four people were arrested in connection with the attack and two men appeared in court.

Ionut Danca, 24, and 23-year-old Madalin Ghiuzan, have both been charged with assault causing harm in connection to Dolmajian.

Both men have been refused bail at the Dublin District Court and remain in custody.
