SPVM investigating gunfire in Montreal North

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after shots were fired in Montreal North on Tuesday evening.

SPVM received a call to 911 around 9:30 p.m. about gunfire that was heard on Lapierre Street, near Pascal Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, police located shell casings on the ground on Lapierre Street.

There were no reported injuries.

According to police, a suspect opened fire on Lapierre and fled before SPVM arrived.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
