Man stabbed in Milton Park, 2 arrested: Montreal police

By News Staff

A 46-year-old man is in hospital with upper body injuries after he was stabbed in the Milton Park area of the Plateau on Thursday night.

Montreal police (SPVM) were called at around 10:15 p.m. to Milton Street, near Parc Ave.

Authorities say there was an altercation between at least three people that led to one of them being stabbed.

Officers found the victim on the street, but add that he is expected to survive.

SPVM say the investigation so far shows that the victim and his alleged attackers knew each other.

The suspects fled before police arrived, but were later located nearby and arrested. Two men, 31 and 47, remain detained.
