22-year-old man seriously injured in Laval road collision

A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital in critical condition after a collision where his vehicle was stuck under a parked truck Friday in Laval.

According to the Laval Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on Dagenais Blvd. East, in the Vimont sector.

For reasons that remain to be determined, the driver allegedly hit a cube truck that was parked on the side of the boulevard.

The 22-year-old man’s vehicle was stuck under the truck, firefighters had to free the driver, who was alone in his vehicle. Tow trucks were also called in to allow rescuers to access the vehicle.

The young driver was taken to the hospital — Laval police told CityNews on Friday afternoon that “the victim is now out of danger.”

The Laval police force is continuing its investigation to try to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this accident.
