Hit-and-run: Montreal pedestrian seriously injured

A driver reportedly fled the scene after seriously injuring a pedestrian in Saint-Leonard Sunday night.

Montreal Police (SPVM) were called to Bélanger Street, near Lacordaire Blvd., at around 7 p.m.

The victim, a 76-year-old man, was taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Collision investigators and the SPVM reconstructionist were on scene to understand the circumstances that led to this collision. They are trying to meet with witnesses and determine whether surveillance cameras could have filmed the incident.
