Montreal-area schools closing Thursday during major snowstorm

With 40 centimetres of snow on the way for Montreal and throughout Quebec — the first major snowstorm hitting the city this winter — school boards are already beginning to announce closures for Thursday.
The following school boards and service centres will be closed:
- English Montreal School Board
- Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board
- Lester B. Pearson School Board
- New Frontiers School Board
- Centre de service scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys
- Centre de services scolaires de Montréal
- Centre de services scolaires de Laval
- Centre de services scolaires des Portages-de-l’Outaouais
- Centre de services scolaires au Cœur-des-Vallées
- Centre de services scolaires des Draveurs
The following schools will be closed:
- Peter Hall school (Ouimet and Côte-Vertu campuses)
- Collège Laval
- Collège Saint-Jean-Eudes (Quebec City area)
- Kells Academy’s Elementary, High School and Grade 12 campuses
