Montreal police search for serial sexual harassment suspect

The Sexual Assault Section of the Montreal police (SPVM) is appealing to the public to identify a suspect linked to several events of sexual harassment that occurred last year between August and October in the Plateau-Mont-Royal, Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie and Saint-Léonard boroughs.

In seven separate events, the suspect allegedly approached victims from behind before performing inappropriate sexual acts, including touching, before fleeing.

The suspect is a man in his 20s, about five-foot-nine. He has a beard and red hair. He reportedly has a tattoo on his left forearm and a birthmark or tattoo on his neck.

Anyone with information is invited to visit their local police station, call 911 or contact the Sexual Assault Section directly at 514 280-8502. Anonymous and confidential reports can also be made to Info-Crime Montréal at 514 393-1133 or online.

The Serial Crime Investigation Management Structure (GECS), coordinated by the Sûreté du Québec, has been deployed to search for the suspect.
