Snow & freezing rain this weekend: Montreal under special weather statement

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Montreal, warning of snow and freezing rain this weekend.

A mix of sun and cloud on Friday, with a high of 3°C.

Then a a low pressure system is forecasted to bring nearly 5 cm of snow over Southern Quebec overnight Friday into Saturday morning.

A high of -1°C Saturday but feeling more like -13°C with the wind chill in the morning and -7°C in the afternoon. 

On Sunday, a second system will bring freezing rain over Southern Quebec, before changing to rain in the afternoon.

A high of 3°C then a low of 4°C at night.

Come Monday, the weather agency is forecasting showers and much warmer weather: a high of 16°C.

But that might not last long, with rain or snow expected for the evening and temperatures dropping to -6°C.

Sunny and a high of 2°C on Tuesday.

Those sunny skies anticipated to continue into Wednesday with a high of 3°C.

Then snow or rain to return on Thursday — a high of 8°C.
