As showers trickle in for long weekend will aurora borealis be visible tonight in Quebec?

The beauty from the aurora borealis could potentially be observed in the skies over Quebec tonight as showers are forecasted to fill Montreal’s long weekend.
Plenty of sunshine Thursday with a high of 9°C.
Come tonight, Environment and Climate Change Canada announcing clear skies and a low of 2°C.
A major geomagnetic storm watch has been in effect since Tuesday afternoon and will continue until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
“Ejections of the Sun’s material (coronal mass ejections) were observed during 12-13 April 2025,” the Space Weather Canada website states.
“The ejected material has an Earth-directed component and is expected to affect the Earth on 15-17 April 2025,” they added. “Resulting in disturbed geomagnetic conditions.”
The northern lights will likely be more visible in the northern part of the province and more difficult to observe in the south.
Wet and warm weather for Easter long weekend
Sunshine is set to continue into Friday until noon — then an increase of cloudiness is expected with a 60 percent chance of showers late in the afternoon and a daytime high of 13°C.
Rain forecasted to fall at night with a low of 12°C.
Then that wet weather should carry over into the weekend.
Showers on Saturday with a high of 17°C — rain also expected for the evening with a low of 4°C.
Come Sunday — Easter for many — showers are forecasted with a high of 9°C.
But skies should clear in the evening as the weather agency is forecasting sunshine to return on Monday.
