7 years after disappearance: Ariel Kouakou’s family reveals updated poster, hoping to help find him

By News Staff

It’s been seven years since 10-year-old Montrealer Ariel Kouakou went missing.

He was last seen walking to a friend’s house on March 12, 2018 in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.

Surveillance cameras captured him entering a park on the banks of the Riviere des Prairies, but he was never seen leaving the area.

On Thursday, in solidarity with his family, the Missing Children’s Network alongside Montreal Police, Info-Crime Montreal, and the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough revealed an updated poster of Ariel, hoping it will help find him.

“His absence remains a profound pain for his loved ones and the entire community,” said the Missing Children’s Network in a press release.

“This updated poster symbolizes the collective commitment to remember Ariel,” they added. “And to continue raising public awareness about missing children.”

The updated poster, which includes a recently aged photo of the boy, was installed at the intersection of Henri-Bourassa Blvd. and de l’Acadie Ave., at the entrance to Marcelin-Wilson Park, near where he was last seen.

“Authorities are keeping the case open and encourage anyone with information to report it by calling 911 or contacting their local police station,” the Missing Children’s Network said.

To submit information confidentially and anonymously, contact Info-Crime Montréal at 514-393-1133 or via their online form.
