Multiple road closures for Montreal this weekend

Major disruptions are expected this weekend for road users in Montreal.
Repair work on the elevated structures of Route 136, between Greene Ave. and the entrance to the Ville-Marie tunnel, will require the complete closure of the westbound direction, during this weekend, between Robert-Bourassa Blvd. and the entrance from du Fort Street.
This obstruction is required for the continuation of concrete work.
Obstructions and traffic management

Friday 11:59 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
- Closure of Highway 136 westbound between Exit No 5 – A-10 / R-112 / R.-Bourassa Blvd. / Champlain Bridge / Victoria Bridge and the entrance from du Fort Street.
- Detour: Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, Highway 10 (Bonaventure) eastbound, exit no 4 and Gaétan-Laberge Boulevard to the entrance to Highway 15 northbound.
- Default closures: Entrances to Route 136 westbound from Saint-Antoine Rue East and Lucien-L’Allier streets.

Episodes of congestion are to be expected.
Complete closures of Highway 25 in both directions, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, will be in place during the nights of May 26 to 27 and 1er to June 2. These obstructions are required in order to carry out interventions related to the tunnel’s electrical and communication systems.
Night closures are also planned during the week in the area of Highway 25 and on Route 132 eastbound to carry out maintenance work.
Night closures – Week of May 26
Highway 25 toward Montreal
- Complete closure of Highway 25 toward Montreal (including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel) between Exit No. 90 – Highway 20 West, Route 132, La Prairie / USA, Varennes, Airport P.-E.-Trudeau and the entrance from Hochelaga Street, from Monday 11 p.m. to Tuesday 5 a.m.
- The entrances to this section will be closed 30 minutes before the highway is completely closed.
- Closure of Exit No. 5 – Route 138 / Rue Sherbrooke / Boul. Y.-Prévost of Highway 25 northbound, during the nights of Tuesday to Friday, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Complete closure of Highway 25 toward Montreal (including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel) between Exit No. 90 – Highway 20 West, Route 132, La Prairie / USA, Varennes, Airport P.-E.-Trudeau and the entrance from Sherbrooke Street East, from Sunday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
- The entrances to this section will be closed 30 minutes before the highway is completely closed.

Highway 25 toward the South Shore
- Complete closure of Highway 25 toward the South Shore (including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel) between exit 4 – Montréal (downtown) / Pont J.-Cartier and the entrance from Île Charron, from Monday 11 p.m. to Tuesday 5 a.m. and from Sunday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
- The entrances to this section will be closed 30 minutes before the highway is completely closed.
- Closure of Souligny Avenue eastbound, between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets, from Monday 10:30 p.m. to Tuesday 5 a.m. and from Tuesday 9 p.m. to Wednesday 5 a.m.

Sherbrooke Street East
- Complete closure of the access ramp from Sherbrooke Street East to De Boucherville Street northbound, during the nights of Tuesday to Friday, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Highway 132 eastbound
- Complete closure of Route 132 eastbound between Roland-Therrien Boulevard and Highway 20 (Jean-Lesage), from Thursday to Friday, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Entrances to this section will be closed 30 minutes before the full closure.
- The detour will be via Marie-Victorin Boulevard.

Closure of a ramp on Highway 15 in Mirabel from May 30 to June 2.
the exit is noto Highway 31 (Mirabel (Sainte-Monique, Saint-Janvier)) of Highway 15 (des Laurentides), in the Saint-Janvier sector of Mirabel, will be closed in both directions for an entire weekend. Six lanes of Highway 15 will remain available to users.
This closure is necessary as part of the development of the new reserved lane of Highway 15, northbound. The work will run until the end of 2025 between Boulevard de la Seigneurie Ouest in Blainville and Highway 50 (Guy-Lafleur) in Mirabel.
Mobilité Montréal is also informing road users of other major disruptions this weekend.
Ville-Marie Tunnel / Route 136
From Friday 11:59 p.m. to Monday 5:00 a.m.
Complete closure of R-136 West, between Exit 5 (Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, Samuel-De Champlain Bridge) in the Ville-Marie Tunnel and the Turcot Interchange.
Detour: From Exit 5, via Saint-Jacques Street to Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, A-10 East (Bonaventure), and Exit 4 to A-15 North / Turcot Interchange.
Detour: via Saint-Antoine Street West and Atwater Avenue South. For trucks, continue on Saint-Jacques Street, Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, and A-10 East. Access from Fort Street.
Detour: Eastbound on René-Lévesque Boulevard via Guy Street South and Saint-Antoine Street West, and westbound on Atwater Avenue South. For trucks, continue on Saint-Jacques Street, Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, and the A-10 East.
Route 112 / Victoria bridge
From Friday 7 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
Between Saint-Lambert and Montreal, on the west span of the Victoria Bridge, the Montreal-bound lane (downstream bridge) is closed.
Detour: via the Jacques-Cartier or Samuel-De Champlain bridges. There will be South Shore-bound traffic only.
Highway 10 – Eastern Townships
From Friday 10 p.m. to Saturday 5 a.m.
In Brossard, on Highway 10 East, at the end of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge, Exit 6 (R-132, Longueuil, La Prairie) is closed.
Detour: U-turn at Exit 11 on the A-30 interchange ramps.
Highway 15 – Laurentides
From Friday, 10 p.m. to Monday, 5 a.m.
In Mirabel, on the A-15 North, exit 31 (Saint-Janvier, Charles Street) will be closed.
Detour: via exit 35 (A-50) and a U-turn on the ramps.
Sunday, from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In Laval, on the A-15 service roads in both directions, the ramps leading to Notre-Dame and Concorde Boulevards will be completely closed.
Detour: Northbound, via the ramp for Le Corbusier Boulevard. Southbound, via the ramp for Cartier Boulevard.
Note: The Firefighters’ Race will be held on Sunday, June 1st. Please note that this event will result in the closure of certain streets on the municipal network.
Highway 19 – Papineau
Sunday, from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In Laval, on the northbound A-19, Exit 4 (Lévesque Boulevard) will be completely closed.
Detour: via the following exit.
Note: The Firefighters’ Race will be held on Sunday, June 1st. Please note that this event will result in the closure of certain municipal roads.
Laviolette bridge – Highway 55
From Friday 8:00 p.m. to Monday 6:30 a.m.
On the Laviolette Bridge, between Trois-Rivières and Bécancour, two of four lanes will be closed – one lane in each direction.
Lane width: 3.2 m.
Default:
In Trois-Rivières, on A-55 North, Exit 181 (R-138, Notre-Dame Street West, Gene-H.-Kruger Boulevard) and the Arthur-Rousseau Boulevard access to A-55 South will be closed. In Bécancour, the A30 East and West / Godefroy Avenue access to A-55 North will be closed.
Note: Between 12:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., traffic will be interrupted once, for a maximum of 30 minutes. Emergency services will still be available if necessary.
Traffic management
From Friday, May 30, at 10 p.m., to Monday, June 2, at 5 a.m.
- Closing Exit no 31 (Mirabel (Sainte-Monique, Saint-Janvier)) southbound.
- Closing Exit no 31 (Mirabel (Sainte-Monique, Saint-Janvier)), northbound.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 70 km/h on Highway 15 northbound.
- Closure of Rue Charles, between Rue du Verdier and Rue de l’Avenir.
Other obstacles are to come in the coming weeks. Details regarding detours, when required, will be communicated in a timely manner. In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, the work may be postponed or extended.
The new lane to be built will be reserved for public transit, carpooling and emergency services. It will extend northbound between highways 640 and 50, and will optimize mobility in the metropolitan area, promote public transit, improve safety and, thus, relieve traffic between Boisbriand and Mirabel during periods of high traffic.

TO EXPECT
Tour de l’Île:
In Montreal, on Highway 40 East, Exit 92 (Gouin Blvd.) will be closed on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Detour: Turn around at the next exit, via Rue des Migrateurs, Chemin Saint-Charles, and Montée des Pionniers in Terrebonne.
Note: Traffic disruptions are expected on the municipal network Friday evening for the Tour de l’île and during the day on Sunday for the Tour de l’île.
Highway 40 in Pointe-Claire:
In Pointe-Claire, on the service road of Highway 40 West, partial closure of two out of three lanes, between Ellingham Street and Saint-Jean Boulevard, from Thursday 8 p.m. to Tuesday 5 a.m.
Sainte-Croix Avenue in Montreal:
In Montreal (Saint-Laurent, Cartierville boroughs), complete closure of Sainte-Croix Avenue in both directions, between Côte-de-Liesse Road East and Dion Street, from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Note: On Côte-de-Liesse Road West, partial closure of 3 out of 4 lanes, at Sainte-Croix Avenue.
Highway 30 — Serge-Marcil Bridge:
In Beauharnois, on Highway 30 East in the Madeleine-Parent Bridge area, partial closure of 2 out of 3 lanes, Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
REM:

Reminder for Bonaventure highway
Peel Basin / Victoria Bridge, one of three lanes closed in each direction until December.
On Clément Bridge, contraflow traffic – one lane in each direction – until December.
Eastbound, Exit 5 (Île des Sœurs) is closed until early June.
