A collision between a semi-truck and a vehicle caused eastbound Highway 30 to be closed in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville on Montreal’s South Shore on Wednesday morning.
According to initial information from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), at around 4:15 a.m. the semi-truck caught fire after the accident, debris was covering the traffic lanes.
The semi-truck spilled diesel onto the roadway – and its load.
“Two people have minor injuries,” an SQ officer told CityNews.

Firefighters, police, and first responders were quick to the scene – as well as the Ministry of Transport to assess the situation.
