Man arrested in connection with homicide in Saint-Anselme, Que.

A man was arrested on Friday by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) in connection with a homicide that occurred in a business in Saint-Anselme, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.

In its press release, the SQ did not provide any details about the arrest.

The incident occurred on Nov. 28, 2024, on Route Bégin at around 8 p.m. when an armed individual burst into the store.

29 year-old Pascal Drouin allegedly killed a woman in her 30s and seriously injured another woman in her 20s before fleeing on foot.

Drouin appeared in court on Saturday in connection with the incident and faces charges of murder, attempted murder and robbery.
