Montrealer Pierry Philogène arrested in B.C., one of Canada’s 25 most wanted

Pierry Philogène, one of five suspects still wanted by the Montreal Police (SPVM) and the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) as part of the joint Projet Alliance investigation, was arrested Wednesday night in Surrey, B.C. – in the Greater Vancouver area. 

The 39-year-old was wanted for first-degree murder in connection with an incident that occurred in 2021. 

Philogène was also on the Bolo Program’s list of Canada’s 25 Most Wanted fugitives.

He was arrested by Vancouver Police, following information obtained from the public. Philogène will be sent back to Montreal in the coming days to appear in court.

“The large-scale joint investigation known as Projet Alliance aims to solve several murders linked to organized crime that occurred in Montreal and elsewhere in Quebec,” said the SPVM in a press release.

This investigation led to 11 arrests on June 12, including that of alleged Montreal mob boss Leonardo Rizzuto.

Now that Philogène has also been arrested, there are four suspects who remain at large and are the subject of arrest warrants: Sacha Krolik, 57; Mario Sollecito, 54; Gianpietro Tiberio, 52; and Jean-Ismel Zéphir, 49. The public’s assistance is requested in locating them.
