Simple Plan returning to Montreal for holiday benefit concert

Simple Plan is coming home for the holidays with an intimate, one-night-only benefit concert in Montreal, marking the return of a long-running tradition and a milestone year for the band’s charitable foundation.

The Simple Plan & Friends concert is scheduled for Dec. 16, 2025, at the Beanfield Theatre. All proceeds will go to the Simple Plan Foundation (SPF), which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

The band described the return of the annual show as an important tradition. “We are extremely happy to bring back a tradition that is very important to us by announcing the return of the Simple Plan Foundation’s annual show, which will take place on December 16 at the Beanfield Theatre!” they said.

Two decades of helping youth in need

Since its founding in 2005, the Simple Plan Foundation has dedicated itself to helping young people across Canada who face adversity. Its mission focuses on three key pillars:

1. Supporting youth facing major life challenges — The Foundation works with organizations that help young people dealing with mental health struggles, drug use, depression, bullying, poverty, suicide risks, and the effects of war.

2. Assisting social and medical organizations that help ill or disabled children and teens — It supports hospitals, care programs, and specialized services that improve quality of life for sick children.

3. Promoting access to music, musical training, and music therapy programs — The Foundation encourages the practice of music in schools and supports music therapy programs as tools to build self-esteem, purpose, and resilience.

Over the last 20 years, the Foundation has donated $3 million to charitable organizations across Canada. Its 2025 donations will be announced on the day of the concert.

A rare performance and special guests

The Montreal concert will offer fans a unique musical experience. For only the second time in their career, Simple Plan will perform their 2004 album “Still Not Getting Any…” in full, including songs rarely played live.

“This year, we had the idea of celebrating the 21st anniversary of our second album Still Not Getting Any… and offering a full performance of the album’s songs, something we have only done once in our career. It is therefore a very rare opportunity for our fans to attend a very exclusive show and contribute to the SP Foundation, and for us to play songs we love and don’t often perform live,” the band said.

Adding to the special nature of the evening, Quebec group Les Trois Accords will join the band.

The band described the benefit concert as a highlight of their year. “The Simple Plan Foundation’s benefit concert has always been a very special event for us, and we had so much fun playing these benefit-shows over the past 20 years. It is one of our favourite ways to raise funds to help young people in need, a cause to which our Foundation is dedicated. It is also the opportunity to invite our fans and supporters to join us in making a difference in their community and to offer them a unique and very different show from our regular concerts.”

They added their gratitude for Les Trois Accords’ participation. “On top of that, our good friends Les Trois Accords have very graciously agreed to join us to make the evening even more memorable. We thank them for their great generosity and kindness.”

Ongoing support from tours

The Simple Plan Foundation also receives contributions from the band’s tours, with $1 from each ticket and VIP package sold supporting the Foundation’s work.

The band said all proceeds from the Montreal concert will go directly to their charity. “All money raised from the evening will go to our Foundation, which is dedicated to helping young people across the country. We can’t wait to see everyone on December 16 at the Beanfield Theatre for what promises to be an amazing evening,” they said.
