Firefighters responded to a three-alarm blaze at the intersection of Aimé-Renaud and Dauphine streets in Montreal’s St-Leonard.
According to the Montreal Fire Department (SIM), the fire affected a two-story residential building containing three apartments.

Officials say the fire started during renovation work after a torch was used to warm pipes.
The six residents were taken in by the Red Cross for relocation, the SIM said.
No injuries were reported.
The fire department also warned on social media, including a post on X, about possible power outages and advised people to avoid the area.
