Montreal freezing rain: REM service on Brossard line won’t resume Wednesday

REM service between Brossard and Gare Centrale ended early Wednesday after weather-related disruption during the evening commute.
After announcing that the service on the Brossard line was during interrupted due to “weather conditions,” the transit agency said that the service will be down for the rest of the evening.
Greater Montreal is under freezing rain warning and is forecast to receive between 20 to 30 millimetres of freezing rain.
Shuttle services are offered during the interruption. Details can be found the REM website.
REM had previously planned to end the service earlier by an hour Wednesday night citing the inclement weather forecasted for the region.
