18 year-old woman dies in St-Michel, man arrested: SPVM

An 18-year-old woman has died in hospital following an altercation in an apartment in Saint-Michel. The woman was found unconscious Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded to a unit on Everett Street, where a possible fight between the woman and a 20-year-old man took place.

Authorities say the victim was seriously injured and in critical condition when they arrived.

The suspect was arrested and is still being questioned by investigators.

Authorities are working to determine what happened, but reports suggest this was in the context of domestic violence.

No further details have been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
