Motorcyclist dies after collision with car in Saint-Raymond

A motorcyclist in his 40s lost his life Sunday night after being involved in a collision with a car in Saint-Raymond, in Portneuf County.

The accident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Route 367, explained Frédéric Deshaies, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

According to initial reports, a car travelling south began to turn left when a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction approached.

The motorcyclist, who was alone on his vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two people were in the car.

A reconstruction specialist went to the scene to analyze it. Investigators from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) will take charge of the case to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
