Warm, sunny stretch ahead in Montreal

Residents can expect a pleasant start to the week, with sunshine dominating the forecast and temperatures steadily climbing toward the upper 20s by midweek.

Today begins with sunny skies before clouds move in during the afternoon, bringing a 30 per cent chance of showers. Despite the possibility of a brief shower, temperatures will remain comfortable with a high of 21 Celsius and a UV index of 6, considered high. Conditions will improve this evening, with partly cloudy skies and a lingering 30 per cent chance of showers before overnight temperatures fall to 11 C.

The warm-up continues Tuesday under mainly sunny skies. Daytime highs are expected to reach 24 C, accompanied by a high UV index of 7. Clear conditions are forecast Tuesday night with a low of 13 C.

Summer-like weather arrives in full force on Wednesday and Thursday. Sunny skies will prevail both days, with temperatures climbing to 27 C on Wednesday and 28 C on Thursday. Overnight conditions remain mild, with lows of 16 C and 19 C respectively. Some cloudy periods are expected Thursday night.

The pattern becomes slightly more unsettled heading into the weekend. Friday will feature a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 25 C, while Friday night brings a 40 per cent chance of showers. Similar conditions are expected Saturday, with a mix of sun and cloud and a 30 per cent chance of showers during both the day and evening. Highs will remain comfortable near 24 C.

Any weekend cloudiness is expected to clear by Sunday, setting the stage for a return to sunny skies and a warm high of 27 C.
