Man in Longueuil dead after altercation with security guard

A 42-year-old man died following a physical intervention with a security guard on Montreal’s South Shore – Tuesday evening.
Longueuil police (SPAL) say the security guard, a 20-year-old man, was arrested and met with police to determine the circumstances surrounding the intervention.
The man was reportedly released from police custody Wednesday without being charged.
Authorities add that they were called to the Centre Jacques-Cartier on chemin de Chambly at around 6:45 p.m.
Once on the scene they located the victim unconscious. He was transported to hospital where his death was confirmed.
A perimeter was set-up and the investigation is ongoing.
