With exactly a week until Christmas, many Montrealers were out this weekend to do some gift shopping.
What’s becoming a staple of the holidays in Montreal are Christmas markets – where shoppers can buy Quebec-made products while meeting the people behind the items.
The Collectif Créatif Montréal held their annual Christmas market in Verdun Saturday and Sunday at the Verdun Auditorium.
Several people were out picking up last-minute gifts.
The market hosted 85 vendors selling local products, including eco-friendly clothing, accessories, art, candles and food.
The event was a partnership with the Societé de Development Commercial Wellington, the business organization responsible for programming on Verdun’s main street.
