The SAQ and the Syndicat des employé-es de magasins et de bureaux de la SAQ (SEMB-SAQ-CSN) reached a tentative deal to renew their collective agreement.
The CSN union and the SAQ both released statements on Tuesday saying they came to an agreement in principle following a meeting on Monday.
The terms of the agreement will be revealed in the coming days or weeks, according to a press release.
The agreement in principle must first be presented to the members of the general council of the union on Wednesday and Thursday.
It will then be submitted to the 5,000 members next week so that they can vote, the union said.
Salary was part of the ongoing dispute, along with access to full-time positions and access to group insurance.
“The SAQ would like to thank its customers for their patience during this negotiation,” reads a press release. “On the eve of the holiday season, every effort will be made to provide a service and customer experience that meets the high-quality standards to which they are accustomed.”
