CityNews Montreal wins RTDNA award

CityNews Montreal has won a national award recognizing the best in Canadian broadcast journalism.

Video journalist Pamela Pagano won an RTDNA Canada award for excellence in sports reporting in the “video category” of Best Canadian Local News.

The award was presented at an event in Toronto Saturday night.

Pagano’s winning story was “Montreal water polo athlete encourages young Black Canadians to make a splash in the sport.” It follows the inspirational journey of 17-year-old Montrealer Jason Joseph.
